The Leadership Challenge

The Leadership ChallengeTM reveals how leaders get extraordinary things done in their organizations.   Jim Kouzes and Barry Posner are recognized worldwide as premier leadership researchers.   Their conclusions grew from nearly 20 years of research of the real-world leadership practices of more than 250,000 leaders.   Their explorations revealed The Five PracticesTM leaders follow to achieve remarkable success.   These behavioral practices evolved into a model of leadership, a route for leaders to follow as they attempt to keep their bearings and guide others toward peak achievements.

The domain of leaders is the future.   A leader's unique legacy is the creation of value that survives over time.   The most significant contributions leaders make are to the long-term development of people and companies -- that adapt and prosper and grow.

The Leadership Challenge is a discovery process -- a blend of well-grounded research, logic, practicality, heart, and intuition.    Workshop participants learn what leadership requires, how their own leadership behaviors are perceived by others, how to develop highly prized leadership skills, and how to apply the proven leadership practices.

Leadership i2iSM facilitates The Leadership Challenge Workshop in a highly interactive multimedia format.   Featured are multiple assessments, mini-lectures, video case studies, individual workbook exercises, group problem-solving tasks and discussions, and experiential action learning.   The experience is facilitated by a dynamic, engaging leader who has been certified by Tom Peters Company and who has extensive and varied leadership experience.

Research-based assessments are central to Workshop.   Participants receive quantifiable, reliable 360° feedback on their leadership effectiveness using the widely acclaimed Leadership Practices Inventory (LPI).

Participants leave with specific on-the-job commitments and action plans for their own real-world challenges.   The Leadership Challenge provokes participants to break through self-imposed barriers and expand their leadership abilities beyond what was thought possible.
